Accessible features

There’s a private parking place with the large parking area at the front of the house More than 11 feet (3.35 metres) wide.

The pavement that leads to the guest entrance is well lit at night by an external light.

There are no steps, stairs or curbs on the entire path from a guest’s arrival to the  entrance and there is a removable ramp for easy access by a wheelchair

The wheelchair accessible entrance is at least 32 inches (81 centimetres) wide.

The room is on the ground floor and is accessible by a ramp from the outside , and there are no steps anywhere on the ground floor. The main entrance however cannot be accessed by wheelchair as that does involve a step from the hallway and a threshold at the main door. Wheelchairs users should use the special entrance dedicated to wheelchair users

The entrance or doorway to the room is at least 32 inches (81cm) wide.

The entire ground floor (except for the main entrance) has no steps and no carpets so a wheelchair can move around easily. Some wide mobility scooters may be too wide to have total access through all the doors

The shower has multiple grab bars that can fully bear weight and are permanently attached to a wall. There is a fixed shower seat but on request we can put a movable shower chair/commode into the shower room

Thresholds are less than 1 inch (2.54 centimetres) high.

The shower  seat in it that’s specifically designed for guests with limited mobility. The seat is fixed to the wall. We do have available a shower chair/commode, but please request in advance so it can be brought into The Art Deco HouseUK before your arrival. If you forget to warn us, please call the house manager who can bring it in sometime the following day
