Marine Villa is licensed for the sale of Alcohol, and Sharon, joint owner of Marine Villa is the licensee, so if you want something special, beyond the offerings from the supermarkets, then we will be delighted to assist!
This part of our business, is in fact another labour of love, enjoying and introducing others to fine wines and outstanding champagnes is something that has inspired Sharon for years. She regularly hosts friends for wine tasting evenings, joins with others to discuss and argue about vineyards and vintages and now the chance to share her knowledge and indeed her selection with you is a dream!
Sharon has had a special interest in wine over many years and has accumulated over a thousand bottles of fine wine in her private cellaring and regularly attends wine tasting from the top wine merchants in London, so is continually updated on some of the best wines available.
When Sharon entered the grand Marine Villa Dining Room on her first visit to the house, she decided that Marine Villa would be the perfect place for decadent wining and dining! In that vein, she is developing a small selection of wines from her private cellar for sale – most in magnum size of course (magnum bottles contain 1500ml, which is twice the size or a normal bottle).
Our fine wines and champagnes are ONLY AVAILABLE BY PRE-ORDER and unfortunately you cannot add to your order once you have arrived (and found you did not order enough).
All wines on offer have been personally selected by Sharon as ready for drinking this year. The selection is very limited, but this is deliberately so. We have focused on Champagne and fine red wines.
If you have never indulged in fine wines before, then let us know what you plan to eat, and we are happy to make our recommendations from our cellar. The examples below are just some of the wines we have on offer, contact us for more information once you have made your booking.

The Champagne will be chilled for your arrival at Marine Villa and our fine wines will have been positioned in the kitchen at room temperature for several hours

A number of standard sized bottles of Bordeaux and Ribera del Duero fine wines are also available (with notice) as these are stored in bond. If you are interested in some fine 2009 vintages onwards, please let us know & Sharon will share the list with you.
These really are special wines, carefully selected by Sharon and laid down years ago in a special climate controlled warehouse managed by one of the UK’s top wine merchants. Because of the special nature of these wines, a minimum purchase of 6 bottles is required together with at least 3 weeks notice, as the whole case will have to be withdrawn.
(we may allow orders for 5 bottles….mmm wonder who will be drinking the 6th bottle from the half case?)
